A Big “Thank You”

This thank you goes out  to our church family for your generous support of Prairie Voyager’s Walk-a-thon held this last December. With your help we are able to raise about $1,200. This money directly went to help the school with operating costs. Thank you again!

Church Cancellation Notice

CHURCH CANCELLATION NOTICE — for SABBATH [TOMORROW] JANUARY 4th, 2014

From Pastor Mike Temple – A note to all Grand Forks church members. The
weather service is calling for blizzards with extreme cold over the next
24 hours. (We’re already getting sleet at our home). After church
leadership has counseled together, we are united in our decision to
close the Grand Forks Church for tomorrow, January 4th.
With the advanced possibility for extreme weather, we need to get the
word out to as many people as we possibly can. Could you please assist
us in doing that by calling whomever you think might not see this
message?
Thank-you and have a safe and blessed Sabbath in the comfort of your homes. May God bless you as you rest.

Happy New Year

Happy New Years everyone!! I pray and hope that the Lord will bless each and everyone one and will prepare each of us for his soon return. The Lord is great and almighty, longsuffering and full of grace and love. I pray that he will be able to use each of us as a witness to plant that seed and bring others closer to Him.

God bless!

God’s Character

Moses talking with God.

Exodus 33:18-19

New King James Version (NKJV)

18 And he said, “Please, show me Your glory.”

19 Then He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.”

Exodus 34:5-7

New King James Version (NKJV)

5 Now the Lord descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord. 6 And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, 7 keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.”

Extra Supporting Verses

Jonah 4:2

New King James Version (NKJV)

2 So he prayed to the Lord, and said, “Ah, Lord, was not this what I said when I was still in my country? Therefore I fled previously to Tarshish; for I know that You are a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, One who relents from doing harm.

Micah 7:18

New King James Version (NKJV)

18 Who is a God like You,
Pardoning iniquity
And passing over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage?

He does not retain His anger forever,
Because He delights in mercy.

Plus we have the life of Christ that is an example of God. I am so glad that I serve a God like this.

John 3:16-17

John 3:16-17

New King James Version (NKJV)

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

I would be lost without these actions. Praise the Lord!
