Spiritual Spring Cleaning, step 3: Vacuum Away Worldly Influences
“Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves
the world, love for the Father is not in them” (1 John 2:15).
The world’s influence isn’t always detected right away. It’s usually after a
period of time that you realize how worldliness has affected your thoughts about God, His people, and your spiritual walk. Get rid of everything
that clutters your heart from being sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading.

Welcome to the Grand Forks Seventh-day Adventist Church!
Christ’s example forbids exclusiveness at the Lord’s supper. It is true that
open sin excludes the guilty. This the Holy Spirit plainly teaches. But beyond
this none are to pass judgment. God has not left it with men to say who shall present themselves on these occasions. For who can read the heart? Who
can distinguish the tares from the wheat? (Desire of Ages page 656)
